We will experiment with etching, traditional methods like dry point, aquatint and mezzotint, as well as other techniques. We will learn monotype, pencil and sandpaper on soft ground, drawing with a grease pencil, deep acid technique, photo engraving, photo transfer, collage... we will combine all of these methods to better serve our creative expression, where chance and surprise can have happy results.

The objective is to gain freedom of expression through the use of all of these printing techniques, where our intuition and the choice of technique one uses for each plate becomes part of the creative process. The student will use different techniques to obtain a variety of results.
This is a hands-on workshop where the teacher will explain each technique as the student realizes the etching and printing process.
The workshop will provide the metal plates, the press, the ink, rollers and paper. In order to realize some techniques the students should bring images.
