This course will give the student a practical and theoretical study of volumetric form through sculpture projects. We will use three-dimensional form as the means of artistic expression and creative development.
-Using a three dimensional language as a form of study, comprehension and transformation of reality. -How to analyse reality as a form of knowledge and artistic expression.-Critical and constructive observation of three-dimensional form.-To study and analyse the formal (technical) language that permits the representation of a volume.-Sculpture as a project, drawings and models as a point of departure. -To get to know different techniques, materials and tools related to sculpture.- Making sculpture with a variety of different materials. -Promote creativity and develop the three-dimensional experience. -Critical analysis of one's own work
- Study from models to get a feel for spatial relationships. -The definition of a volume with lines, planes and volumes. -Construction techniques.- The analysis of geometrical form. -Analysis of organic forms. -Analysis of the human figure. -Patinas. -The study of the creative process through the work of other sculptors.
